Lucio Fulci's CONQUEST 1983 Coming From Code Red

    Code Red is releasing Lucio Fulci's psychedelic, gauze-shrouded and gore filled fantasy on Blu-Ray. With a release date of "soon" this will be available exclusively from Ronin Flix and  Diabolik DVD. Previously released on DVD from Blue Underground, Fulci's take on the low budget Sword & Sorcery genre that flooded movie screens post-CONAN THE BARBARIAN is highly entertaining when viewed in the right spirit and features an excellent score by Claudio Simonetti from Goblin. 

   Starring Jorge Rivero (RIO LOBO), Sabrina Siani (2020 TEXAS GLADIATORS) and Andrea Occhipinti (BLADE IN THE DARK) it features some imaginative creatures, cinematography by Alejandro Ulloa (THE DEVIL'S HONEY) and Fulci even gets to work in some zombies. 

CANNIBAL APOCALYPSE 1980 On Blu

   
   

     Antonio Margheriti's (aka "Anthony M. Dawson") CANNIBAL APOCALYPSE is coming to Blu-ray via Kino Lorber. One of the many Italian cannibal movies that flooded drive-in & grindhouse movie screens (and later Mom & Pop video shelves) during the late 70's and 80's this one's a bit different as it transports the action and gut chomping to Atlanta GA.
   Starring John Saxon (ENTER THE DRAGON) as a Vietnam War POW who begins to realize that himself and other ex-soldiers are inflicted with a virus that causes them to crave human flesh.
   Relatively gore free (at least compared to others of this genre) it's probably best remembered under the VHS title INVASION OF THE FLESH HUNTERS and it's gaudy box cover that graced the shelves of video stores throughout the land. No extras have been announced yet and a release date is not known.

MONSTER SHARK aka DEVILFISH 1984 On Blu

    On July 3 Code red via Kino will release director Lamberto Bava's wonderfully cheesy and entertaining monster from the deep opus on blu-ray. One of the more ludicrous Italian Jaws knock-offs this feature a weirdly fascinating octopus/monster shark hybrid, copious amounts of beer swilling and floppy rubber tentacles.

    Featuring a new color corrected scan, reversible cover-art and commentary by star Michael Sopkiw (2019:AFTER THE FALL OF NEW YORK) this will be one of my more anticipated releases of the year. Plus you have Dagmar Lassander in the cast!!
